This fuzzy logic rice cooker uses a thick titanium coated bowl and internal monitoring technology ensuring that the rice is cooked to a very high quality. The unit offers owners three different rice textures when making white rice, along with selections for brown rice, mixed rice, and sushi.

Also aboard is a great slow cooking feature with the option to select up to a 12 hour total cook time with either low or high temperature settings.

Last but not least is the ability to steam vegetables, eggs, poultry, or seafood using the included tray. However, folks cannot cook rice and steam at the same time unfortunately.

Sanyo ECJ-HC55S

To keep it brief, the ECJ-HC55S is the smaller version of the above machine.

It does everything the ECJ-HC100S does, only it has a 5.5 cup capacity instead of a 10 cup capacity.

This is still good enough for feeding up to 5 to 6 people as it will yield around 16 cups of cooked white rice once complete, (in rice cooker cup measurements).

Even though the slow cooking feature is still available, many will find that the smaller bowl is good for only feeding 2 people at best as opposed to 3 to possibly 4 people as with the larger unit.

For the price tag this is a neat little machine that is great for couples or small households who seek a multi-purpose machine.

Ideal for live-alone chefs who enjoy rice daily, this compact rice cooker with its convenient retractable cord will fit comfortably on small counter tops and utilizes the same rice monitoring technology as the other recommended cookers mentioned on this page.

Select from white rice, brown rice, and mixed rice using the easy to operate panel along with additional features like a quick cook setting (lowered rice quality) and a bread baking setting.

Currently, this is the only good small Sanyo rice cooker we can recommend at this time. For something more basic and less expensive, research the Sanyo EC-503.
