Panasonic Fuzzy Logic Rice Cooker Reviews

Currently there are two Panasonic fuzzy logic rice cookers that got our attention since they received good consumer feedback, perform well, and above all make great fuzzy logic rice!

For now, we will look at a 10 Cup model and a 5 Cup model worth considering, (we're still waiting for a 3 cup cooker from Panasonic).

(model list subject to change as updates & new units become available)

Panasonic SR-MS102

So far, this Panasonic fuzzy logic rice cooker happens to remain one of their best electric rice cookers to date.

The unit offers a wide-array of benefits, features, settings, and other small convenient additional design pros like a condensation collector, retractable cord, stay cool carrying handle, and great keep warm mode.

It has a 5 cup capacity good for yielding around 15 cups of cooked rice.

For cooking rice, the SR-MS102 uses a "fuzzy logic" thinking computer that monitors how the rice is cooking making the appropriate temperature and cooking time adjustments along the way.

The rice cooker also offers users three rice type settings to select from which are white rice, brown rice, and sushi. There is a quick cook option in addition, (lesser quality) along with a slow cooking feature for making stews, and a steaming option for preparing healthy steamed vegetables.

The cooker is moderately-priced so it should fit most budgets, is easy to use, and is a snap to clean thanks to the non-stick inner bowl.

Panasonic SR-MS182

This 10 cup Panasonic rice cooker is almost like the above unit with just a few little extra rice settings and of course being larger.

It too uses an internal monitoring computer for cooking very good quality rice dishes, but from what we read, the brown rice quality could have been a little better. So for folks who are getting a fuzzy logic rice cooker for great quality brown rice...for the price, please compare this unit to the Sanyo ECJ-HC100S before purchasing.

Aside from brown rice, there are settings for regular white rice along with a porridge setting, a cake baking feature, a steaming feature, and a slow cooking feature.

During our research we have heard that all of these settings work fine, (with just a small measuring learning curve for good cake), and that folks seemed pleased with it.

The only thing this Panasonic fuzzy logic rice cooker could have done better with is a more versatile slow cooking setting with temperature control options. Aside from that, this is a Very Good rated rice cooker.
