Panasonic SR-DG102 Rice Cooker

panasonic sr-dg102

Price Range: *Moderate

Rice Quality: *Good

Benefits & Features: *Multiple

Performance: *Good

Pros vs. Cons: *Balanced

Overall Rating: *Good

The Panasonic SR-DG102 is a multitasking rice cooker that uses fuzzy logic technology when cooking rice, offers the user a white rice and brown rice setting along with a separate steaming setting and slow cooking feature. However, at this time, we were unable to dig up a lot of information on this particular model.

We searched Amazon customer reviews, eBay reviews, Epinions, CNET reviews, etc. and did not come up with that much to write a full detailed reviewed article. This sometimes happens and the last thing we want to do is present false information to our visitors wishing to buy a reliable rice cooker.

Our Guess and *Estimated Rating

Two close Panasonic rice cookers that offer similar benefits and features are the Panasonic SR-MS182 and the SR-DE102 models we recently reviewed.

Both of these rice cookers, overall, earned a "Very Good" rating due to consistent positive feedback along with the above standard rice quality, ease of use, multiple features, performance, etc.

After carefully inspecting the picture and description of the Panasonic SR-DG102 we confirmed that although it has a slightly different control panel, it sort of offers the same features and is priced pretty much the same as the other units we just mentioned.

It also uses fuzzy logic technology which monitors how the rice is cooking making fine adjustments along the way. Just don't expect this to be as good as the more expensive Zojirushi rice cookers.

Possible Pros

  • cooks above standard white and brown rice
  • is non stick and easy to clean
  • not complicated to use

  • Possible Cons

  • trial and error when making porridge
  • confusing manual
  • cannot simultaneously steam | only one slow cooking temperature offered

Well, at least at this time we recommend folks research other units on this site before making a final purchase. We're not saying that this is a bad rice cooker, it probably is a very good rice cooker and does a pretty good job at preparing great tasting rice dishes. Perhaps just very little was written/reviewed about it.

However, at this point we need more information in order to give it a confirmed overall rating and detailed review.

Note: For folks who own this Panasonic SR-DG102 model and are reading this page, please feel free and give us your review and what you think about it. State in as much detail as possible your likes and dislikes.
