Zojirushi IH Rice Cooker Overview

From what we gathered these Zojirushi IH rice cookers are very good units with a large majority of positive consumer feedback. We just recommend folks only purchase these models if brown rice is on the menu daily as opposed to occasionally to justify the cost.

However aside from brown rice, the unit has settings for white rice (offering three different texture settings) along with settings for sushi, mixed, and even porridge.

The NP-HTC10 has a 5.5 cup capacity, and the NP-HTC18 is a larger 10 cup capacity cooker.

The Zojirushi NP-HTC10 & 18 have an attractive stainless steel outer shell design with a modern look and feel that will fit the decor of any kitchen and despite the technical first impressions they are not hard to operate and are pretty straight forward to use.

Zojirushi NP-HBC10 & 18, Zojirushi NP-KAC10 & 18, Zojirushi NP-GBC05

These Zojirushi IH rice cooker models perform pretty much the same as the above NP-HTC10 & 18 models, but do not include pressure cooking and remain a little more budget friendly, although still with a high price tag.

Like the above units, they will use induction heating and the GABA soaking method for when preparing brown rice along with the onboard micom fuzzy logic technology which will monitor how the selected rice variety is cooking making subtle adjustments in temperature and overall cooking time along the way.

These units take most of the guess work out of preparing excellent quality rice and also allow the user settings for white rice, brown rice, and sushi rice.

The Zojirushi NP-HBC10 & KAC10 are a 5.5 cup capacity cooker, the Zojirushi NP-HBC18 & KAC18 a 10 cup cooker, and the Zojirushi NP-GBC05 a small 3 cup cooker.
